What does Naväge stand for?


Navage makes it easy! Naväge is the world’s only nose cleaner with powered suction to flush out allergens, mucus, dust and germs. Unlike neti pots and nasal squeeze bottles that push saline through your nose, Naväge pulls. It’s like the difference between a broom and a vacuum!



When should you not use Naväge?


Do not use if your nasal passages are 100% blocked and you cannot breathe through either nostril. 100% blockage is rare, and nasal irrigation can help relieve even the most stuffed up sinus condition.

What do you put in a Navage?


The SinuPulse wins hands down. The Navage is more difficult to use and gets a less satisfactory result, and I was less confident in the cleanup process for the Navage than the SinuPlulse. You do want to have the most confidence you can… see more. The SinuPulse wins hands down.



How do I stop Navage from going down my throat?


Press your tongue firmly against the roof of your mouth and sing/say “hung”, holding the “ng” sound. This will help close the soft palate, block the throat, and separate the nasal cavity from the oral cavity! Again, if you’re in that small group for whom there is a learning curve, don’t give up!

This response is from RhinoSystems, the manufacturer of Naväge Nasal Care. The short answer to your question is YES. The long answer is that the FDA doesn’t use the word “approval” to describe its review of medical products, and they don’t like manufacturers to use “approval”, either.

I use the Navage at least four or five times per week for the sleep apnea and allergies. Previously I used the neti pot for allergy relief and to help with the CPAP….but the ease of use of the Navage irrigator and the fact that the suction draws the saline solution through your nasal passages makes it a real winner.



How do you use SinuPulse?


the SinuMist Tip is limited for use with the SinuPulse Elite irrigator only, and it must not be used with any other irrigator or appliance. Turn on the unit with the pressure set at low and adjust the pressure to a comfortable mist spray. Place the tip in one nostril, bend over the sink, and turn the device on.



Can you use Navage with a deviated septum?


The short answer is that based on our experience and on feedback we’ve received from Naväge users, the Naväge system can work well and has been very beneficial to individuals with a deviated septum.



Can you use Naväge without SaltPod?


Great question! Regarding using other salt packets in the Naväge Nose Cleaner, the answer is yes and no. YES – you can add other salt packets to the top tank. This will increase the amount of salt in the solution, and make it hypertonic instead of isotonic.



Can water get stuck in your sinuses?


“But those that may have narrow passages from swelling may suffer and get water trapped inside.” Basically, liquids can enter the sinuses easier than they can exit. And when someone has smaller sinuses — due to inflammation or genetics — the water is more likely to get stuck.

You can mix your own solution (one part Clorox Regular Bleach to three parts water), or there are several commercially available options, including Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner Bleach. If mold or residue is still present, a soft nylon brush (such as a toothbrush) can also be used with the bleach solution.



Does Navage come with batteries?


The batteries are pre-installed. All you have to do is attach the nasal dock to the mechanical module, taking care that the blue O-rings stay snug in their channels (Fig. 1). That’s all there is to it!



Can Naväge cause sinus infection?


They’re also used to moisten nasal passages exposed to dry indoor air. But be careful. Improper use of these neti pots and other nasal irrigation devices can increase your risk of infection.



How often should you flush your sinuses?


How often should I do it? Start with one irrigation per day while you have symptoms. If you feel better, you may want to do it twice a day as part of your regular routine. Some patients use it to prevent sinus problems even when they don’t have symptoms.



Does Navage prevent snoring?


Most snoring is caused by sinus congestion that is in turn caused by dry air, dust, allergens, and germs. Our customers have reported that Navage Nasal Care can help with snoring by flushing the sinuses to remove obstructions and reduce swelling, allowing air to pass freely through the nose.

How do you disinfect SinuPulse?


We recommend disinfecting the SinuPulse® periodically with dilute vinegar (3:1) and rinse with clean water when you are done to remove residual vinegar solution. This will help to disinfect and decalcify the unit which can contribute to clogging.



How do doctors drain sinuses?


The ENT inserts a tiny tube with a small balloon on the en into your nose. The balloon is placed at the source of the blockage and then inflated to help open the passageway, allowing your sinuses to drain properly. With the blocked area expanded and reshaped, the balloon can be deflated andr emoved.

Push on the adjustable pressure control/pause button on the handle a few times to loosen up any residue that may have formed around the push button assembly as well. Soak the sinus tip itself in a small container of the vinegar solution to remove any mineral deposits which may have formed within the tip as well.



Why I can’t breathe through my nose at night?
