H7 is a single – filament. It means that it uses two bulbs, the main beam bulb and the dipped beam. H4 bulb is a two-filament bulb. It functions as both the main beam and the dipped beam. Another difference is that H4 is a three-pronged base, while H7 is a two-pronged base.
